Overview
UMass Product Club is a student-led think tank where technology, business, and design intersect. As Media Chair, I led the design and development of our official website to showcase the club’s vision, highlight student projects, and create a cohesive brand presence that reflects our mission to “Think like a Tech CEO.”
Goals
-
Designed and built the website in Framer, ensuring responsive layout and accessible UX
-
Applied and maintained club branding standards across typography, layout, and interaction
-
Created the Product Showcase section to highlight prototypes from weekly member meetings
-
Built a review blog layout to publish original product takes written by club members
-
Crafted custom components for newsletter sign-ups, event info, and partner highlights
-
Approve and oversee all design content used for the site and social media platforms
Contributions
-
Designed and developed the website from scratch using Framer
-
Created a modular layout to highlight upcoming events, past workshops, and student testimonials
-
Ensured mobile responsiveness and accessible color contrast
-
Integrated calls-to-action for newsletter signups, Slack join links, and event RSVPs
-
Applied and enforced club branding standards (typography, color, tone) across the site
-
Collaborated with the e-board to maintain and update content as new events and initiatives launched
Design Approach
The design features a high-contrast, editorial aesthetic with bold typography, a deep green canvas, and red accents—creating a confident, tech-forward visual identity. I used white space and modular grids to emphasize clarity, while micro-interactions and scroll-based animations reinforce interactivity.

-
The Home Page introduces the club’s mission and alumni success, featuring logos from companies like Microsoft and Uber
-
The Product Showcase gallery highlights student-led prototypes with photo-rich cards
-
The Blog Page invites readers to explore product reviews written by members, complete with a newsletter sign-up for continued engagement
Outcome
The launch of the site helped streamline how we promoted events and drove an increase in both meeting attendance and social media engagement. It also served as a strong branding asset when representing UMass Product Club at hackathons and campus events.
